Start off with one, single little hen, an empty field and a few pennies. Once your hen starts laying eggs, sell them to the Shopkeeper so you can start buying new animals at the Penny Fair, to grow your farm bit by bit. Be careful to feed and look after your animals well though, or risk them going elsewhere!
In time, you can expand your farm by adding items like a hen house, a pond, a drinking trough, sheep barn and so on. And, little by little, you can earn bonuses, like a windfall, a rooster, a dog, a tractor, and more!
